Been coming to Laredo for many years and staying here at ABVI. There has been some good and bad experiences staying here at this hotel. What i like about this new group of individuals working at the front desk is they're alot more professional and more understanding if we have something to say about,or something not working or etc.which a couole of years ago the lady managers group of individuals were the total opposite.. They didnt care about anything and it was a total mess..the man always at the pool for a good 5 hours of the day lol i mean cmon i guess thats all he knows what to do i believe his name is Mario ive seen him around for a couple of years and hes a waste and doesnt really know english and cant really understand if we need to ask him to come check out a problem in the room. He' s pretty much useless because what i saw out there with the house keepers and the new young gun housekeeper which i do know his name but is the only male housekeeper at the hotel/ maitnece / greeter/ i mean he's a humble young man by the way he presents himself and i love to see him move and communicate with the two other woman that were cleaning rooms. I love that i heard him tell one of the housekeepers i mean its 103 degrees and i seen him go up and down the stairs many times tha t day and goes up to one of them and tells her let me know if you need anything fron the laundry. Room I'll go get them for you "ok" i mean the energy he brings to the workers around him is awesome..i mean i saw him smiling all day long.. Just a great young man if i had a business id snatch him away in a heart beat. I met the young man tha t evening when i saw him outside his room. I stopped by to introduce myself and to let him know how much i appreciate him for what he does. He told me jared if you need anything i"ll be more than glad to help you just come knock on my door and I'll take care of the problem or situation you may have.

Everything is within walking distance. They have a brand new buffet in their restaurant it’s pronounced too be opening soon. All you can eat Mexican buffet. Truly a game changer for their business. Highly recommend staying here: they provide amazing customer service and considering the price is so cheap is surprisingly. They can provided you with any extra essentials you need during your stay. The staff is very respectful and kind. Me and wife are truckers and they have plenty space for us even if you have your trailer. Highly recommend this place. It’s a hidden gem in Laredo considering they are constantly updating the place. Rooms 117 is what I stayed in and it was superb. Hot water, the ac works great and it smells good for a non smoking room. They have a huge pool. I really recommend more people to take a try at this hotel don’t let ignorant reviews stop you from saving money at a great hotel. Pet friendly. Family friendly. Well lit up area. They have cameras all over the property so you don’t need to feel scared about going out at night being so close to the border you’d worry but no it has amazing vibes. Great people and a very comfy bed.

Loved the big, quiet room, comfortable bed, clean solid floors, microwave, fridge, lighting, good TV and programming, and I liked the fact that the telephone to the desk actually worked. Air conditioning worked very well. Honorable mention: Cherokee, the front desk clerk is an exceptional employee. Going to make this particular hotel my home away from home in Laredo, as long as you krep Cherokee on the desk and maintain the high standards you have as the new management. Job well done. Thank you. And thanks for the complimentary coffee.

The place is a little dated, but the staff and management make it up by making sure that you have the best experience possible. From the Mangager: Cherokee and Assistant Manager: Claudia, they're the best you can find a hotel setting. Also, kudos to the front desk clerk: Daniela, she was a great help and the cleaning staff: Ariana and Clara they're amazing. Everyone I mentioned is well deserved in being recognized for their hard work and effort in making your stay amazing.

Very good value for money. At this price, you should only expect a reasonable room and a comfortable bed. Ticked both boxes. Room decor is older but very clean. The microwave was handy. 5-minute walk to local restaurants and 10 to the HEB supermarket. Bonus was a shuttle for no charge to take you downtown or to the airport.
